Founded in 1993, SERPENT
CHILD, is a non profit
professional arts company dedicated to the collaborative creation of
multi-disciplinary,
community-based art. Serpent Child's purpose is to create art in a variety of media based on the experiences, history and myths of specific communities.
The company’s mission is
to:
Facilitate people to use the power of art to tell their stories.
Interpret stories, history and myths
Produce original art based on personal and social themes.
Create community-based art with a wide range of population groups.
Teach community based art-making skills including theater, writing, visual arts, bookmaking, problem solving, communication
and creative thinking skills.
